These Gouda houses by Jan are absolutely unique, there is none the same. Every house is made by hand and every house has one or more fun details.

Most of the houses are on stilts, just as the old buildings in Gouda are still on wooden stilts. Because Gouda was built on peaty soil, most of the stilts are “in the water”, a detail that Jan has used for these Jan houses.
